Meet Katie - photographer, gardener, and wildcrafter

Katie is a photographer, gardener, and wildcrafter with a deep passion for capturing the beautiful stories nature offers us. Her days spent tending to her garden and ethically foraging wild plants inspire her mission to help forge this connection for others.

This mission launched Katie’s creation of Urban Taproots, which gained a large following of like-minded nature lovers, gardeners, and budding herbalists. With her photo and video storytelling skills, she expanded her work to help similar mission-focused businesses connect with their audience. 

Katie strives to weave magic into her daily life in Seattle, WA, from immersing herself in fairy tales and myths, to daily walks in the woods with her pup, to sunset paddleboarding with seals.
